At a time when Austin was becoming one of the most talked-about comedy cities in the country, NIGHTHAWKS was there, inside the rooms.

Filmed over three years, the film moves through the people, rooms, and late-night energy surrounding a scene in motion. Blending performance, conversation, and moments that unfold somewhere between real life and cinema, NIGHTHAWKS offers an inside look at a world rarely seen from this close.

Featuring Ron White, Kam Patterson, Brian Redban, and the faces surrounding The Comedy Mothership, open-mic comics across the city, club owners, bookers, and the comedians living through Austin’s rise in real time.

This special screening will take place in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 6:30 PM. A Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening.
